RiSearch Software

      On this site you will find several packages intended for building your own website search engine. The scripts are written in Perl and they are very powerfull and sophisticated, can easily handle tenth of megabytes of information with searching speed less then second.

RiSearch Pro

RiSearch Pro is a further development of well known search script RiSearch. This search engine is intended for small, medium and big sites up to 1 Gb of text information.

Features

1. RiSearch does not use any libraries or database systems, just pure Perl. Therefore, it could be used on any server where you have account with CGI.

2. Script is able to work with different languages.

3. Simple and convenient query language.

4. RiSearch uses platform independent binary files which can be used on any system. Therefore, it is possible to index local copy of your site on your home computer under Windows, and then use produced files on remote server.

5. Files can be indexed via the local filesystem or via http.

6. Incremental indexing (new documents can be added to index and searched immediately).

7. A user-configurable list of stopwords.

8. Template driven output.

9. Searching in whole site, one part or several parts of site.

10. Results sorting by relevancy, file size, date.

11. Keywords highlighting in output.

12. Advanced search, with possibility to use logical operators (AND, OR, NOT).

13. Indexing of other files formats (PDF, DOC, PS) via external parsers and archives indexing.

14. Phrase search.

RiSearch

Powerfull and fast search engine designed to work with hudreds megabytes text data. Has many options and configuration parameters.

RiLax

Powerfull search script for flattext databases. It is possible to search in specified fields, sort results by any field and more. Template driven output. Script does not require any database, index is stored in its own format to allow fast search even for large databases (100000+ records).

RiSearch PHP - Search script written in PHP for small sites (up to 5000 pages). Does not requre database backend for index storage.


RiCoord

RiCoord is a geocoding tool. It uses advanced geocoding algorithms, based on database of 30000000 USA addresses and corresponding geographical coordinates. Script can be used to find location of any address in the USA and to calculate distance between two addresses. RiCoord can be integrated with RiMap to plot interactive street map for entered address with shown locations of your nearest stores or offices.

Create your own mapping service with RiMap. Script plots interactive street maps for any city in USA. No external software necessary.

RiSearch CDROM Package - an easy way to burn your site with search function to CDROM.

RiSearch SQL - Script uses MySQL in backend for index storage. This script intended for small and medium sites with 1000-10000 files and total volume about 10-100Mb. Most of its features are similar to RiSearch.

RiFlex - Script for large text corpus indexing. It has almost all features of RiSearch, but memory requirements are much less and you will be able to index about 1-2 Gb of text on computer with 256 Mb RAM. Indexing speed - 10-15 Mb/min.

RuMor - Simple morphological analyzer for website search engines. Returns base form and all forms of given words. Currently works with English, German and Russian languages.
